Grilled Butterfly Venison Tenderloin

Nothing quite beats a steak on the grill, even in a winter that just won't end!

 Simple, healthy, and oh.so.delicious!

We have lots of venison in the freezer and these tenderloin pieces are our favorite. Thaw, rinse, pat dry and season with Weber's Steak and Chop seasoning and a dash or two of Worcestershire Sauce. Refrigerate. About 30-45 minutes before you're ready to grill remove them from the refrigerator and let come to room temperature.

Heat grill, and put these babies on and grill to medium well. Place in a large pan with a tight lid and let set for a few minutes till ready to serve.

Serve with Avocado and Feta Salsa. Yum

Avocado
Tomato
Feta Cheese
Red Onion
Fresh Ground Black Pepper
Sea Salt Olive Oil
Red Wine Vinegar

Mix and let marinate before serving.

I'm off to spend some time with my husband as he waits in the city for his truck to be fixed. Love when he goes shopping with me! :)

On another note:
News from Ohio is not that great. My Dad has intense pain that the most recent pain meds didn't touch and he had a sleepless night, along with my Mom and Sister. The meds make him sweat profusely and also confused. Makes me sad. If anyone should want to send them notes of encouragement I'd be happy to share their address with you.
E-mail me at luckyglicks@gmail.com for their address.

For those of you not sure what's going on. Dad became personally acquainted with cancer 5 years ago. He will be 80 in May.

Thank you for your prayers!

  1. I just said to my husband, "I'm hungry" and now I see this...cruel! ( o: I haven't had venison...we grew up in Chicago and hunting just wasn't something we knew about. Now living in Wisconsin, most of our friends hunt and love venison...we just haven't tried it yet. This looks wonderful.
I'm sorry to read that your father is ill. I hope they can get his pain controlled...such a big relief for everyone. Today is my MIL's birthday, 89, a snow storm kept us from visiting today, but we will head down on Friday. Your family will be in my prayers as I close out this comment.

  4. Thinking and praying for your dad...mom, sister and everyone close to them. It's hard, I know....and very much out of your control. God knows. I hope he can sleep well tonight.

The venison looks really good....never had it! I am curious, though!
