Garlic And Basil Meatball Sandwiches w/ Smoked Mozzarella

Took a 'tour' through the cupboard and refrigerator a few days ago and discovered two things that needed to be used. A bag of club rolls and some Smoked Mozzarella Cheese so I decided on meatball sandwiches. The garlic and fresh basil gave them plenty of flavor and the 4 men of the house and I  really enjoyed them and they were super easy.

2 lbs. 90% lean ground beef
1 egg
3 cloves garlic, minced
6 leaves fresh basil, chopped fine
oregano
salt
pepper

Mix well and shape into balls. I used a size 40 cookie scoop. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake @ 400° for 20-25 minutes.

Transfer to a large saucepan and spoon Sauce over meatballs. Heat through slowly and sprinkle with shredded cheese.

Allow to melt and serve.

Be Blessed!!
