Snickers Tall Cake

chocolate, caramel, cream cheese - oh me, oh my!

Snickers are my favorite candy bars so I had to try this! So far I haven't heard anyone here complaining about it!☺

This cake has been in my mind for a while, I just had to find time to actually make it. Definitely not the kind you would want around often, and definitely not the kind you would want a huge piece of but as special treats go, super yummy! It's nothing difficult, but I wasn't quite sure how I would do the icing, so I mulled it over for a while and decided to give this a shot. The brown sugar makes a yummy caramely flavor and the snickers candy bars don't hurt the flavor either.☺Put a drizzle of caramel topping around the edge and you've got yourself a winner!

For the cake I used the same Crazy Cake recipe that I used for Ho Ho Cake a few posts ago and baked it in three 9 inch round cake pans that I sprayed and fitted with waxed paper.

Bake @ 350° for 25 minutes or till a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and loosen cake from the sides by running a sharp knife around the edge. Turn cake out onto a waxed paper lined cooling rack. Carefully peel the waxed paper from the bottom.

Allow to cool completely.

For the icing:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar*
1cup brown sugar
16 ounces cool whip
16 fun size Snicker's candy bars, chopped
reserve some for garnish

Beat cream cheese and sugars *(pretty sure I would eliminate the powdered sugar the next time) until creamy and smooth. Add some of the chopped candy bars and cool whip and mix. Spread between layers-

and over the top and sides of the cake.

say it with me...yummm!

Garnish with the rest of the chopped candy bars and a drizzle of caramel ice cream topping. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

This would also make a delicious trifle! and if made into a sheet cake or cupcakes would take less icing, therefore less sugar.☺

Be Blessed!
