Hot Choclote Mix

TO TAKE AWAY THE CHILL IN THE AIR!

The cooler weather got me started thinking about this mix and the fact that if I don't make it soon the children will start asking for it. Years ago when it was just my husband and me drinking hot chocolate I used to buy the Hershey's French Vanilla mix but with the children drinking it too I started making my own every winter. I've never really been able to quite get it like I wanted it but I was talking to a friend yesterday (thanks Carolyn for the idea!) and she suggested adding instant vanilla pudding. This comes close enough for me and the my husband and the chillens will love it! If I would make it just for me and Serena I think I'd make it into a Cappuccino. But truth be told I really don't need it and she will be just as happy with this. See, I do have some self-control! ha

7 cups powdered milk
3 cups powdered sugar
12 ounces French Vanilla creamer
3 large boxes French Vanilla Instant Pudding
1 lb. Nestles Quik
1/3 cup Special Dark Cocoa powder

Whisk all together in a large bowl until thoroughly mixed. I like to add mini mini marshmallows but they often harden and don't melt very well. So we either add them later or do without or if we think about it we add a dollop of marshmallow cream.

When ready to use add desired amount to water or milk. I used 1/3 cup of mix to 10 ounces water.

MMM, sure hits the spot when it's chilly outside!

Be Blessed!!
