Creamy Noodles

mmm, deliciously creamy comfort food

From as far back as I can remember this is how my Mom made noodles. I'm sure there are many people from Holmes County, Ohio that could say the very same thing, because this is largely how they are made there, and they are worth every calorie filled bite.

They are easy to make and don't require a lot of your time. That is always an added plus!

The things you need are here:

                                               excuse the fuzzy picture, not sure what happened, ahem

4 Tablespoons butter
1½ quarts chicken broth
1 pint water
1 can (10½ oz.) cream of chicken soup
2-3 Tablespoons chicken base
Salt and Pepper, as needed
12 oz. fine egg noodles

Bring the first three ingredients to a boil.

Add cream of chicken soup, chicken base, salt and pepper. Return to boiling.

Carefully add the noodles.

Stir. Bring to a boil again then cover and turn off heat. Let steam for a ½ hour, then stir;

 replace the lid and steam for another ½ hour.

                                                       Aaahhh, delicious! Enjoy!!
