Loaded Garlic Bread
The last few times that I made Lasagne I noticed that the boys scoop up the meat and cheese part and put it onto the garlic bread that we usually have with it, and that they keep saying how much they like that. So I thought that instead of making lasagne with the pasta I would just prepare the meat part and the garlic bread and serve it like that. They loved it! And it was super easy!
1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
1 small onion, diced
8 oz. cottage cheese
1 pint pizza sauce
salt pepper
Mozzerella Cheese, shredded
French or Italian
Brown ground beef and onion together, drain. I like to put the meat into a colander and run very hot water over it to get rid of the grease.
Return to pan and add the pizza sauce and cottage cheese. Mix and heat. Simmer on low stirring occasionally until the liquid is reduced or almost gone. This is so that it doesn't make the bread soggy the minute you put it on there.
Cut bread diagonally and spread with garlic butter. Brown on both sides on a skillet or under broiler.
Spoon meat mixture on top and sprinkle with mozzerella cheese and Italian seasonings. Return to oven to broil and melt cheese. Enjoy!
Be Blessed!
